Yesterday the Board of Directors of the Gainesville Cycling Club elected 
a new Board:

Our congratulations to each of these devoted people, and our personal 
thanks to them for being willing to run for office.  Sometimes it seems 
most members believe that GCC sort of runs itself, and that the 
Directors just meet for a good time, and the service given by the Board 
is taken for granted.  Actually, there is a lot going on behind the 
scenes, and these people give much of their time to making things run 
smoothly.  Please give them the same support and cooperation you have 
given us.
As we leave the Board, we look back on five years of fun, good riding, 
and contact with many wonderful people.  In that time the membership of 
GCC has grown by more than 50%, and our net worth, the cash on hand to 
be expended on GCC activities and member activities, has grown by more 
than 200%.  It has been a good run.
We want to thank each of you for giving us the privilege of serving on 
the Board.  It has been an honor, and it has been fun.  We look forward 
to riding with you, and seeing all of you on GCC events.
