About the A – Riders:
Helmets are required on all GCC
Rides. Expect mileage to be in the
50-70+ range with one rest stop. Routes are determined prior to the ride
depending on which way the wind is blowing and who shows up. Routes are agreed
upon by consensus the morning of and may change en route. Speed is consistent 20 + mph during the
ride. With surges exceeding 25 mph. A- Riders do not respect a speed limit,
especially after the rest stop.
During the winter
months the A-Riders are often joined by the Gliders for the first part of the
ride. Courtesy is given to the Gliders to keep the group together until the rest
stop ( although this is not a guarantee)
