I would like to let everyone know that apparently
Richard Omer was hit by a car on Rt 24 near the Archer City Limit sign. I
say apparently because I did not see it happen. It must have happened
about 11:30 after he was dropped by the group and fell off the back. After
a while I slowed down to see if he would catch up to me but he never made it
up. A short time later, after I reached the intersection of Archer Road
ant Rt. 241 in Archer, I saw an ambulance heading west on Archer Road and at
about the same time a man stopped his truck to tell me that down the road a
cyclist had been hit by a car just a few minutes earlier. I
just got home a few minutes ago and it is now 1:15.
I have no idea of Richards
condition and obviously it could be very
serious. I can only hope he is just a little banged
up.
