Hey all,
Early Saturday evening Alex Ramos, my friend and employer, was
struck by a vehicle while he was riding his rickshaw on University
(@ 22nd) toward campus. The rickshaw was destroyed, Alex was the
lucky winner of a hospital visit, and the driver never stopped.
The vehicle was a large truck (possibly a double cab), either
black or dark blue. The license plate begins with B44 and there
would be damage to the right front bumper.
Fortunately Alex is doing well with no serious injuries. In the
off chance the driver is resident of Gainesville, I'm sending this
out. If you're sitting in traffic and the thought crosses your
mind to take a look at the license plates around you, if you see a
large truck in some parking lot with a damaged front bumper...
just take a moment.
What we're looking for is the rest of the license plate number. If
anyone comes across a truck that fits the description, please
contact officer V. Norman of GPD at 352.334.2400 in reference to
case number 02-06-01-018341 or you can reach Alex Ramos at
352.682.6345.
Thanks for your time,
Heather Marie
