Fellow GCC members,
Only a few members have RSVPed that they will make
it this Sunday for the October 8th Adopt-A-Road clean-up at 4
pm. This leaves Roger and me along with a few others to pick up
trash along beautiful CR 234. This road is part of the Horse Farm Hundred
route that some of you are looking forward to riding this Oct. 22. It
would be great if this stretch of road (with our name on the signs)
was clean for the event.
The club provides pick sticks, safety vests, bags, buckets, and
carts. Perhaps the best part is going out to eat after the pickup; the
club helps pay the tab.
A little history for some of the recent
members: It's been over 12 years since the club voted to make the
Adopt-A-Road part of our community service. Many of you checked off
on your application form when you joined that you would like to volunteer for
this activity. Please consider joining us this Sunday, we'd love to have
your help.
Please RSVP by phone (378-7063) or
email,
Thanks,
Diann
