Greetings fellow Pedalers,
It's been quite a while since I've felt like
posting a ride but here goes. I will be at the Hawthorne end of the G-H
Trail Saturday morning at 10 am. I checked the Weather Channel's
hour-by-hour report and it's supposed to be 63 degrees at 10 am and sunny so it
should be pleasant. I'm planning to ride to the bridge near Kate's Fish
Camp and back for a total of apx. 20 miles. Afterwards I'm heading to PJ's
cafe for lunch.

Hawthorne Trailhead Ride Start Location

From Gainesville, go west on SR 20 to Hawthorne. Take the exit for US 301,
but just before US 301, turn right onto SE 221st Street, aka Johnson Street (the
main drag through Hawthorne). Go through the four way stop, and take the next
right onto SE 71st Ave, aka SE 2nd Ave (if you cross the railroad tracks you
have overshot). There will be a sign announcing the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail
just after you turn. A little ways down turn left into the trailhead parking
lot.
