MEET: At the Chevron
station on the corner of NW 43rd
St and 53rd
Ave.
PARK: In the
Chevron station, along NW 43rd
St. Start at the north end and work south. Do not
park in the slots alongside the station or along NW 53rd Ave. DO NOT use the
business lots east of the Chevron on Saturdays. Overflow parking is along
the short east-west street south
of the station. Please watch where you are standing; do not
block the flow of traffic going to the pumps.
TIME: Meet at 8:00 am, depart by 8:15.
DETAILS: Planning a
Millhopper-Alachua-Hague circle of about 30-35 miles at approximately 15-16
mph. As always, I’m open to suggestions from the group.
About The Lo Bees
The Lo
Bees are a group that strives to combine consistent workouts with
camaraderie among our riders. We like to keep the speeds in the 15-16 MPH range
(sometimes a little higher or lower depending on the terrain). Our
distances usually are in the 30-35 mile range. While riders should be
able to maintain this pace no one will be abandoned and we try to practice
cycling courtesy at all times. Needless to say, helmets are mandatory.
Mirrors are not required but are strongly recommended. If you
are not a club member, you can print a membership form from our web site.
Non-members may participate in two rides to determine if they would care to
join the Gainesville Cycling Club
