Lydia and Allen take a break on the Henderson Trestle
bridge on the Withlacoochee Trail
Saturday June 23, Strays will cycle the middle
portion of the Withlacoochee Rail Trail (the most scenic portion)
between Inverness (Lake Henderson Trestle) and Nobleton (intersection of 476)
for a 33- 35 mile ride.
Strays may also ride some pleasant shaded side roads,as an alternative to
the trail on the way back, if traffic is light. Strays often stop at
any sights of interest, visit trail bike shops, and take pictures of flowers,
scenery and animals.
Your leader for this ride will be Allen
Kushner.
Arrive at the Inverness Trail Headquarters parking lot in Inverness
at 8 am for an 8:15 departure.
Average speed has typically been 13 -
14 mph in recent times for the Strays. This ride is quite
flat.
Post ride the hungry will head to a local restaurant, most likely
Angelo's or Stumpknockers in
Inverness.
No pacelines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social ride.

mirrors recommended, headphones
forbidden.
