To any of you whose lives have been touched by breast cancer: As a breast cancer survivor who loves to ride her bike, I recently decided I would like to have a bicycling jersey with a pink ribbon on it. After trying to find one via numerous mail order companies/websites, without success, I have been in touch with someone at Louis Garneau who is willing and able to design one for me if I can get at least 11 other women interested in ordering one. It would be a black jersey with a pink ribbon on the left front and a pink stripe down the right front (or some variation thereof). The cost including designing, shipping, etc. would be around $75; possibly less if there are at least 16 orders. The fellow I am working with on this is going to send me fabric swatches and a fit kit. When things are further along I will have a better fix on the final price. Checks would be made out to the company, Louis Garneau, but I would need to send them all in at once before the order could be processed. Once the final design is approved, it will take about seven weeks before we receive the jerseys. Anyone who has interest in one of these jerseys is welcome to contact me by email at bnbbarb@xxxxxxx ( i check that email more often than the yahoo address) Many of the companies I contacted thought the idea was great but at this point had nothing planned for producing such a jersey. There are many of us who love to bike and who also have had, or have a friend or family member with, breast cancer. Let's get our pink ribbons out there! P.S. we can also get the jerseys for men, but would need at least 12 separate orders from the women's please let me know what you think! Thanks!
