MEET: De Soto Park at the south end of Hague by the
convenience store. (Directions below if needed).
PARK: Park in
the triangle in which De Soto
Park located.
TIME: Meet at 8:00 am to depart promptly at 8:15 am
DETAILS: We will ride
the mostly flat area of northern Alachua county about 30-35 miles (with shorter
options available), speeds approximately 15-16 mph. Exact route to be
determined by the participants.
DIRECTIONS
FOR ANYONE THAT MAY NEED THEM:
Desoto Park. This is
the park that is located at the intersection of 441 and 25A (NW 120th
lane) this is just south of Hague. This is approximately 1.6 miles north
on 441 from the end of 43rd
St.
About The Lo Bees
The Lo
Bees are a group that strives to combine consistent workouts with
camaraderie among our riders. We like to keep the speeds in the 15-16 MPH range
(sometimes a little higher or lower depending on the terrain). Our
distances usually are in the 30-35 mile range. While riders should be
able to maintain this pace no one will be abandoned and we try to practice
cycling courtesy at all times. Needless to say, helmets are mandatory.
Mirrors are not required but are strongly recommended. If you
are not a club member, you can print a membership form from our web site.
Non-members may participate in two rides to determine if they would care to
join the Gainesville Cycling Club
