GCCMail: EZ Riders Bastille Day Ride
Dear Friends:
Lee and I will do an EZ Riders-type ride this Saturday 14 July in
conjunction with the GCC Summer Picnic at Fanning Springs State Park.
We will leave the parking lot beside the Springs (look for my yellow
Ford pick-up) at 8:30 AM, and go to the bridge over the Suwanee River to
watch the now famous Jumping Sturgeon, and then on to either Cross City
or to Chiefland, returning to Fanning Springs for the picnic and
possible swimming. As usual, bring bug juice, water, sun screen, etc.
There will be at least one convenience store along the route.
We will ride at a slow pace, and stop frequently. The ride will be
suitable for beginners and children. We leave no one behind. Helmets
are required for all GCC rides.
Chandler says hamburgers and hot dogs will be laid on, so bring a
suitable dish to pass.
