GCCMail: Volunteers Needed for Saturday 8 November

Dear Friends:

The Florida Track Club and the Friends of Paynes Prairie, Inc. are 
putting on the Tom Walker Half-Marathon on the morning of Saturday 8 
November, and we are asking for your help. 

We need 6 or so volunteers with bikes to staff a rest stop (mostly 
water) at the intersection of the Trail and the Alachua Lake Overlook 
stub, and to direct the runners at the turn-around spot on the stub.  
Easy work, and soon completed, but you will need to ride your bikes out 
to the rest stop really early (details later).  If you have safety 
vests, bring them to identify yourselves as Trail workers.
If you can help with this, please get back to me ASAP, and I will 
coordinate details.
This should be fun, and you can ride the Trail after, so it won't be a 
whole morning of standing around.
