In a typical fist fight, most swings land somewhere on the target, but fail to do any appreciable damage.

As opposed to the typical [cinematic] fist fight, where the ineffectual hits are those spectacular "toss him into the wall/mirror/display" and then wait politely for him to get back up before you throw the next punch/kick/whatever.

[Just binge-watched both seasons of Daredevil . . . and for my money the only fight I could imagine my players participating in was the final one, where Daredevil finally accepts the Punisher's help in dealing with mooks . . .

Big Bad tells his mooks, "Finish him." and walks off, leaving Daredevil to his fate. Now, if Daredevil hadn't already had the everliving CR** beaten out of him by Big Bad (plus still be carrying the accumulated wounds of a really TOUGH week), that would have been laughable. But as it was, Daredevil was probably a goner.

Then a Ninja Mook's head suddenly explodes . . . and we see the Punisher on the next rooftop over with a sniper rifle

And - rather than leap across the gap and berate Frank for his murderous nature AGAIN - Daredevil simply nods then turns to catch up Big Bad . . . as the head of each Ninja Mook that gets into striking distance continues to explode.

Of course, Daredevil ends up tossing Big Bad off the roof. Happy ending, right? Of course not. That's a classic Uncertain Death, particularly for a Big Bad who's already come back from the dead once. But although what comes next starts out as a classic set-up for Return of Big Bad, it ends in what - at least for me - is perhaps the best part of the whole fight.

Big Bad's eye's blink open, then he sits up and climbs to his feet . . . at which point the point of a katana bloodily emerges from his chest, then squicks back out.

Big Bad staggers around to reveal Stick (last seen tied to a chair by Daredevil), whose katana promptly flicks out again.

As Big Bad's head hits the ground separately from his body, Stick says laconically: "Not this time, a**hole."
