Not really. You would need much longer baselines. The last human chokepoint was 60-125KYA <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recent_African_origin_of_modern_humans> and that resulted in humans with some minor, mainly superficial differences. 1000 years is far too short for that kind of change, particularly if the starting group had any sort of diversity at all.
