In general my name's been pretty unique to me. Helped by the fact I'm not fond of 'Tim' for a bunch of reasons.

For many years on the Internet it was just me and some 19th century genealogy record of a long dead namesake.

Now there's apparently a film director in New Zealand with 'my' name. Which does feel a tad odd. Although as he's literally on the other side of the planet there's little chance of confusion. Except that it messes up Google searches for me. But presumably he thinks I have his name. :-)

I'm reminded of a one time President of the Galaxy:
"What, you're Zaphod Beeblebrox?"
"Yes."
"THE Zaphod Beeblebrox?"
"No, just A Zaphod Beeblebrox. Didn't you hear? I come in six packs."

And that was helpful. Thank you.
