Heh.  I actually forgot/left one obvious option out of that list - that
they'd be attracted to scent: sweat and body odor, any food or garbage
left out/open, etc.

And another top-level item is that, of course, many of these critters
have never seen or smelled humaniti, vargr, et al before.  Depending on
temperament, diet, how loud the party's being, etc, they may be curious,
fearful and avoidant, want a taste...

And a final variant on the "poisonous" entry, which applies as much or
more to plants - imagine something like poison ivy or stinging nettles,
or bees or jellyfish, whose oil or neurotoxin or whatever produces the
expected skin reaction and other symptoms (and may actually still be
harmful!), but /feels/ really... "good."  Like, really REALLY "good."
