Morning,

Don't forget that C/2020 F8 (SWAN) is now available in a reasonably dark
sky from UK latitudes. It is not as bright as we had hoped (probably
currently around 6-7) but it does show a short tail. I, just, managed to
see it with 8x40 bins this morning but it was hard to do from here with
some cloud near the horizon.

At the moment, from the UK, you'll need to get up early (around 01:30
UT) to see it and will need a good NE horizon. It gets harder to see the
further north you are. The comet goes under the pole at local midnight
on May 26 and is then best in the evening sky.

Here's my image through the low horizon murk this morning. Nothing
spectacular but worth a go just to say you have seen or imaged it.
