Peter,

Thanks for those excellent close up images. Have you done any processing
to look for structure in the inner coma? Other observers are reporting
multiple shells very similar to what we saw with C/1995 O1 (Hale-Bopp).
I'm hoping for more large-scale images as the comet rises high enough to
be within range of larger telescopes.

It is a very colourful comet and the green gaseous inner coma emission
is becoming more prominent as the dust production rate drops. Up to now
it has been lost in the bright inner dust cloud. We'll be able to watch
as the comet changes from its current very expansive form into a small
green fuzzball as it moves out from the Sun.

Martin Mobberley and I have also imaged the green leading edge of the
coma on much lower resolution images:
