California State Parks, Division of Boating and Waterways, is hiring a Scientific Aid (temporary position) to assist the Aquatic Invasive Plant Control Program. The position is based in Sacramento. The Fish and Wildlife Scientific Aid will assist in the collection and analysis of field samples of aquatic vegetation and water quality parameters in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and Suisuin Marsh. This position assists Environmental Scientists in conducting monitoring and surveys for habitat, wildlife, and vegetation in compliance with environmental permits. Perform a variety of technical and scientific office and field work related to aquatic invasive plant management. Incumbent is expected to maintain regular, consistent, and predictable attendance; exercise good judgment; and to follow through on commitments when completing work assignments.
