The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.  The National Wildlife Refuge System (NWRS) administer national network of lands and waters for the conservation, management, and where appropriate, restoration of the fish, wildlife, and plant resources and their habitats within the U.S. for the benefit of present and future generations of Americans.  The Pacific Southwest Region NWRS provides policy oversight and support for Refuges throughout the states of California, Nevada and the Klamath Basin in southern Oregon.  This position is in the Branch of Inventory and Monitoring, within NWRS, located in Fremont, CA.  As a Biological Science Technician (Wildlife), you will provide technical data support to biologists, gathering and managing critical site-specific data to accomplish program objectives.

This is a Term position, not-to-exceed 13 months. The appointment may be extended up to a total of 4 years without further competition.
