We've been using the RPM Hand Rake (http://www.rpmhandrake.com/) for
consolidating and moving piles of cut blackberries and raking up the debris
around arundo cane stumps. it works much better than a pitchfork or garden
rake because the long tines don't get caught on the stumps. The handle was
too slippery but wrapping some baseball bat tape around it fixed that
problem. The rake is not cheap but it increases our
productivity significantly. You can buy it through Amazon or by contacting
the rake designer if you want to try to negotiate a bulk purchase or get a
non-profit rate.
