A great chance for an internship on a beautiful mountain!

Hello Park Stewardship Friends and Partners,

One Tam is looking for interns to join our team in the fall!  The internships will offer a multi-disciplinary opportunity to work on Mount Tamalpais with California State Parks, the National Park Service, Marin Municipal Water District, Marin County Parks and the Parks Conservancy. The environment is excellent for dynamic individuals interested in applying themselves across many fields and who would be as thrilled as we are to work with the diverse landscapes of the mountain and the diverse populations of Marin County.

We are offering two internship types:

1-            Youth and Community Program Interns will focus on engaging the local community by leading volunteers on work days, hosting school programs and leading interpretive field walks.  They will work heavily with youth and partake in tabling and outreach.

2-            Restoration and Community Science Program Interns will focus assisting and leading volunteer programs in the restoring of habitats, maintaining trails and community science programs, such as the Marin Wildlife Picture Index Project.

Both internships will offer a mix of office and field work.  They are based out of the Sky Oaks Ranger Station just outside of Fairfax, CA.

If you would rather not receive these announcements, let me know and I’ll take you off our list.  Also, if you have any questions concerning the internships or One Tam, please feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks and warm regards to you all.
