at Malibu Creek State Park, we get good control with Roundup applied to cut stump treatment. be sure to apply it to all the layers, too. a follow-up spray the next month completely kills the plant resprouts.

Hello,

We are working on a succession management project and are looking for recommendations for herbicide applications for coyote brush. We’ve had limited success with cut-stump treatments with Garlon applied in fall and winter. We suspect that small stems, lots of layering in the brush, and timing reduced effectiveness. There doesn’t seem to be much literature on coyote brush control. Thanks!
