As part of the Merced River Plan restoration, the Tuolumne River Plan restoration, Wilderness restoration, and the Restoration of the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, we are hiring 12 Restoration Workers and up to 4 Restoration Work Leaders this season. The incumbent will work as part of a crew on ecological restoration and vegetation management projects under the direction of a Work Leader. Project locations occur park-wide and include wilderness areas. Duties include:
Condition of Employment: Applicants must have the physical ability to perform the arduous duties as defined above. This position requires the incumbent to be physically capable of working in extreme weather conditions, lifting and carrying heavy loads, hiking or walking for extended periods over rough terrain. The applicant must demonstrate in their resume, that s/he possesses the ability to perform strenuous duties.
The incumbent will lead work crews of 4 or more people in a variety of ecological restoration and vegetation management projects park wide, including Wilderness. Specific duties include:
