The next event in our MapRun Summer Series is about to be launched with an MDOC first - a Scatter O challenge.

Scatter-O is a cross between a linear and a score format where the runner chooses a set number of controls to visit between the start and finish in their own time - fastest wins.

Planner Grahame Crawshaw has put out 21 virtual controls in Glossop: collect 8 to complete the Short course, 12 for the Medium, and 16 for the Long. You just have to decide in advance which course you are doing.

Or why not call the short course a sprint and do two courses on the day?

Final details are now available at: https://navvies.org.uk/SummerSeries.php.

Maps/PDFs will be posted on the Navvies site at 8pm tonight and the event will open on the MapRunF app at the crack of dawn tomorrow, Saturday 15th August. Look for UK>Manchester>Navvies>Summer Series

Once launched, the MapRun courses will remain available until the end of September, including those already launched at Edgeley.

We'd love to see any photos you take on the day. Send them to MapRun co-ordinator Peter Ross or post them on Facebook @ManchesterOrienteers or Twitter @MDOCorienteers
