John Williams was a revered active member of MDOC and we have been informed of his unexpected death in July.

His family have posted an invite to those who wish to join them in commemorating his life. Attached is their invite; I am unable to attend but I am happy to be the liaison if others are hoping to attend, to facilitate transport options.

“John Williams' Funeral will be held at 1410 on Friday 18th August 2023 at Chesterfield Crematorium, S43 1AU.

Please do come and celebrate his life with us if you can.

Please wear casual clothing and we positively encourage any running gear. We respectfully ask for no flowers, any donations instead welcome to support Kinder Mountain Rescue Team.

Details of a location for drinks and a chance to share memories will follow shortly.”
