No mask.

We meant it.
And built the tech to back it up. Introducing Mask Verification—a new way to protect both riders and drivers.
Mask Verification
Now, if you’re ever flagged for not wearing a mask, you’ll have to take a selfie in the app to verify that you’re wearing one before your next ride.

Drivers must also verify they’re wearing a mask before they can start accepting trips.

Shared accountability. .
Shared accountability.
Masks are mandatory for riders and drivers, and both of you can leave feedback if the other isn’t wearing one.

If we receive feedback about anyone consistently violating our mask policy, they will be blocked from the Uber app.

Thank you for wearing a mask and doing your part to help keep each other safe.
Your privacy is protected. Photos are used to verify mask compliance; they are never shared with the driver and are deleted shortly after they’re taken.
