Hey everyone:

 

If you do a Google search like the following:

 

ezproxy username password

 

You get a lot more results like the hrkfiles.blogspot below.  Might want to add your institution’s name to the search to see if anybody’s advertising a login for your library.   I wouldn’t advise visiting these sites without anti-virus software and NoScript running, however; some of these pages look pretty shady.

This is good and bad news.

The good: Google is great about taking down these sites.

The bad: not all of those URLs are going to library proxies. Some are going into the OPAC systems, revealing private patron information. (U.S. FERPA issue)
