Hello.

First of all  -- I do not want to start up the debate again on whether or not to check in print journals.   We have probably all read the articles and know the pros and cons of the situation.    I am just looking for a large research libraries that has dropped serial check in.  Someone with over 1000 print subscriptions.  An institution with multiple current journal collections.

I am looking for workflow on

·         How to handle mail as it arrives; get issues to correct place on shelf

·         How to spot routings

·         How to handle issues with no place on shelf (samples, title changes?)

·         How to determine if a subscription has stopped coming

·         How to store material if it is not going to be bound

Just looking for a general workflow on handling print -- without checking records for instructions.

Thanks

Diane
