Library Director – World Learning SIT Graduate Institute/SIT Study Abroad (Brattleboro, VT)

SIT’s librarian integrates electronic library resources and digitally based user services into the learning and teaching environments of the organization. The person in this position develops and coordinates library technology-based operations, services, and projects; uses traditional and emerging technologies to enable the library to deliver innovative and student-focused access and reference services. Responsibilities include overseeing the administration of ILS functions; maintaining and coordinating the library website and other digital resources; and improving and expanding user access to digital resources and services, including e-reserves, e-books, e-journals, subscription databases, web resources, archival collections, and instructional materials.

The SIT Librarian oversees cataloging and ensures access to and maintenance of records and links to electronic resources; performs original, complex cataloging as needed; manages, upgrades and troubleshoots technology problems with IT; and collaborates with deans and faculty members on library, intellectual property and thought leadership projects.
