It looks like Design management journal (Boston, Mass.) OCLC 227225342 is indeed still being published (or was, as of the latest issue consulted in 2008). It began in 2008 as a supplement to Design management review OCLC 227225342.

In other words,
Design management journal (1989-2003)OCLC 20214126. For our purposes this title is no longer being published.
changed title to
Design management review (2004-)OCLC 54911954

meanwhile.....in 2008 a supplement to
Design management review (2004-)OCLC 54911954
came along. It's called
Design management journal (Boston, Mass.) OCLC 227225342
