UMBC, an honors university in Maryland, seeks an innovative and service oriented librarian to coordinate the development of the Library’s web services and provide general reference and instruction services to faculty, staff and students. The successful candidate will lead the vision, design, and management of an evolving library web presence in order to meet the needs of the students, faculty, and staff of the University. Science Reference & Instruction Librarian

The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), an honors university in Baltimore, Maryland, invites applications for a Science Reference & Instruction Librarian position. This is a 12-month full time position. The successful candidate will provide reference and instruction services, participate in the Library’s information literacy, assessment, and outreach initiatives, and serve as subject librarian to academic departments in the sciences, mathematics, and engineering. ALA-MLS degree and demonstrated knowledge of science librarianship, public service and library reference technologies required. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
