The University of Chicago Press has released its 2014 journals’ subscription rates and the list of new titles for the coming year.

We are pleased to add five journals to our portfolio for 2014. The new titles are available individually and as part of the Complete Chicago Package.

Critical Historical Studies—NEW!
Critical Historical Studies is a new interdisciplinary journal devoted to historical reflections on politics, culture, economy, and social life. In the broad tradition of critical theory, CHS explores the complex connections between cultural form and socioeconomic context throughout the ages and the world.

Freshwater Science—New to Chicago
Freshwater Science publishes articles that advance understanding and environmental stewardship of all types of inland aquatic ecosystems and ecosystems at the interface between aquatic and terrestrial habitats.

Journal of the Society for Social Work and Research—New to Chicago
The Journal of the Society for Social Work and Research provides a venue for rigorous empirical research into contemporary social problems, programs, and policies that can be used in public policy development and social work practice.

Renaissance Drama—New to Chicago
Renaissance Drama is dedicated to the investigation of traditional canons of drama, as well as to the exploration of the significance of performance in early modern cultures. Each peer-reviewed issue will question or apply newer forms of interpretation on the study of early modern plays, theater, and performance. The journal will publish twice annually, beginning with Volume 41.

Signs and Society—NEW!
Signs and Society is a multidisciplinary journal devoted to the study of sign processes (or semiosis) in the realms of social action, cognition, and cultural form. First published in Spring 2013, Signs and Society is an open-access, online journal that is freely available worldwide. Print copies are also available for purchase individually or on a subscription basis.
