Dear Abbigail,

On the implementation side - be prepared to add a lot of EZproxy stanzas for open access journals if you use EZProxy (we didn't proxy free stuff before, since you can't really proxy all of it). BrowZine will add the EZproxy jump start URL to everything available in the app - your holdings and everything free that has good structure and DOIs, so you need to find a solution to this. BrowZine will report the cases when your patrons ran into a proxy error to you.

Best regards,

Iliana

We use BrowZine at Lesley.  We’ve found that faculty and graduate students love it.  It’s visually appealing, does the best job of replicating browsing in the physical environment, and is simple yet comprehensive to use.

If you show potential users your bookshelf, they will immediately look for the search box.  If you show them journals titles that they would care about instead, they fall in love almost immediately!

Is anybody using the app Browzine right now?  If so, can you give me a review of it?  I heard someone mention it on the listserv and I thought it sounded interesting.
