We are in the process of moving our staff personnel into different positions to make the best use of the work pool that we have.  I had a student worker for 12 hours a week but now it is changing to a full-time assistant 40 hours a week with no student worker.

I would be interested in hearing from other universities that have a Serials librarian and a full time assistant and how their job duties break down.  I am responsible for print serials as well as electronic resources (databases, journals, e-books, etc.).  I see my assistant dealing with the print side of serials and thereby leaving me time to deal with all the electronic aspects of my job.

Any feedback would be appreciated.  Please respond off list to sthomas@se.edu.
