Dear colleagues,

I would like to invite you to participate in this international study of Cologne University of Applied Science in cooperation with Humboldt University zu Berlin about the effect of Open Access on journal management.  You do not need to be particularly involved with Open Access to answer the survey. In contrast to the survey of Nathan Hosburgh and Chris Bulock, this questionnaire contains questions about processes in journal management in general and focusses more on the thoughts about future prospects.

I would be very pleased if you would contribute to this analysis. Because without a sufficient number of participants from the US, the comparison between the countries and their different legal and structural conditions (and therefore the centerpiece of the study) wouldn’t be possible.

The survey is open until 04/14/2014 at: http://www.unipark.de/uc/US/JournalManagement/OA/

It involves 23 questions, should take 15 minutes maximum to complete and is totally anonymous.
The initial results will be presented at IFLA 2014 in Lyon, France.

Feel free to forward the questionnaire to other people as relevant.

Thank you very much indeed for your time and answers.

Miriam Lorenz
