We use our ILS, Voyager, to check in print issues.  The module we use tells us when an issue is past due or skipped, then I contact Ebsco or the publisher if it is a direct order to claim the issue.

Subject: [SERIALST] Print journal claiming

Colleagues,

We've recently switched from creating checkin cards for our print journals to creating item records for them instead. Do any of you have experience with creating item records for print journals? If so, we're wondering how to best go about claiming missing issues. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
