Acknowledging that their long-standing publication pattern of two issues a year numbered 1-2 and 3-4 did not make sense, the Smithsonian Institution has made a revision.
Archives of American Art Journal, v. 53, 2014, consists of one physical issue, double the size of most issues: nos. 1 & 2, Fall. Beginning with v. 54, 2015, there will be two issues: no. 1 Spring, published in April, and no. 2 Fall, published in October.
