Webinar description and speaker overview:

While there is much talk of altmetrics as a *potential* source of valuable
data for impact assessment and attention monitoring, what are campuses
actually doing with this kind of data? This webinar is dedicated to a short
overview of what altmetrics are and then a discussion with Scott Taylor,
from the Research Services team at the University of Manchester Library,
who will share his experience of adopting and rolling out altmetrics across
campus using the Altmetric for Institutions (AFI) platform.  Scott will
discuss what motivated him to implement this new tool, how he  hopes
altmetrics can help his faculty and administrators achieve their goals,
and the feedback he's received so far from stakeholders at his
university.
