Interestingly to me, Journal des savants is still in existence and has had the same title since 1797! It also has separate ISSN for the print and online versions.

Greetings all,
I am working with a subject liaison librarian on a presentation to her faculty about the history of scholarly literature in biology. The question posed to me that I thought would be good to put out to the list is - What was the first scholarly journal published, when, and who is the publisher?
