Thank you so much for your advice. I should have mentioned in the original inquiry that is transition is not only at the library I work at but for our whole state as part of a consortium. Have a whole state full of University, state college, and junior college libraries which are merged together on a single BIB interface but also now switching to a whole new system has made it hard to get individualized help as far as preparation. Because the systems are so different our main concern is making sure all of the records are moved over successfully. I figured if there was good advice to be found, I could find it here. Thanks

Hello Everyone,

The library I work for is getting ready to move from Aleph to Sierra/Innovative. However, at this time we have no idea how to prepare for our records to merge over. Or what guidelines/rules we should be looking at to best prepare for the records to move over. Has anyone else moved to this system? If so can you give me some guidelines to help prepare for the merger? Thank you in advance for all of your help.
