Same with us Trisha.  We are an academic library and have never used covers.  We don't even bind our archived periodicals anymore.

We are interested in hearing the pros and cons of utilizing periodical covers for our academic library journals on display.

We have the 'locking' clear cover, red back version and are considering discontinuing their use.

We are a small academic library with an aging collection of covers. The monies certainly could be utilized in other places.

Thank you for any and all responses.
