The study is a series of journalistic profiles of the
inter-library loan efforts of six major academic libraries or consortia: the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Duke
University, Northwestern, the University of Delaware, Claremont Colleges
Library, a consortium of 7 colleges in Claremont, California, including Harvey Mudd College and Pomona
College, and the Virtual Library of Virginia, a consortium of 70 academic
libraries in Virginia, including George Mason University, the University of
Virginia, Virginia Tech and many others.
Based on interviews with inter-library loan departments heads
and other top officials, the report examines leading edge efforts, including
