Head, Acquisitions and Metadata Services

ASU Library seeks a highly motivated, collaborative, and service-oriented library technical services professional to lead the Acquisitions and Metadata Services team. This position will lead acquisitions and metadata staffing, policies, workflows, and practices governing the acquisition and description of the Library’s information resources, ensuring optimal discovery, access, and interoperability. https://lib.asu.edu/employment/head-acquisitions-metadata

 

The Head, Acquisitions and Metadata Services will collaborate with personnel working with collections, discovery and repository services, information technology, and other functional areas to efficiently and effectively acquire, ingest, and describe information resources, identify appropriate metadata schemes and standards for collections, and ensure optimal discovery of and access to resources.  S/he will use innovative approaches to problem solving and appropriate tools for data analysis and decision making.
