I would venture to say that people don’t really want ours either, but things still go missing. Sometimes people steal just to prank, not just because they want something. A few years back we had a clock stolen from the wall that connects to an internal system and that probably wouldn’t run if not hooked up to the system. It still went missing. People have even stolen rolls of toilet paper. You just never know. The particular local city title I was thinking of when I sent the e-mail costs $7000 a year. That’s quite an investment.

We don't use any security on our microfilm. Nobody wants our microfilm! We probably couldn't give it away!!
The only reason we keep it is because we already paid for it and it fills the empty shelves on the bookcase in one of the study rooms. Students might be able to pocket a roll of film, but they'd never be able to hide the reader/printer machine to go with it.
