Call for Applications

OVGTSL 2019 Annual Conference Library Student Scholarships

 

The Ohio Valley Group of Technical Services Librarians is pleased to offer a maximum of three student scholarships to attend its 2019 Annual Conference in Lexington, KY. Scholarships cover conference registration and lodging for two nights (May 12-13, 2019) with conference accommodations at the conference hotel DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel (2601 Richmond Rd, Lexington, KY 40509).

 

Any full or part-time student enrolled at an ALA-accredited library and information science school in Indiana, Kentucky, or Ohio as of Spring 2019 (including those graduating in Spring 2019) is eligible to apply. Applicants are not required to reside in the Ohio Valley region.

 

Applicants are expected to include a resume and a short statement (250 words) summarizing how they would benefit from attending this conference.

 

The online student scholarship application form is available here.

 

Scholarship recipients will be required to submit a brief report outlining their conference experience within 30 days of the end of the conference. This review will be published on the conference web site.

Application Deadline: March 1, 2019

Notification Deadline: March 15, 2019

Acceptance Deadline: April 1, 2019
