The Ohio State University Libraries seeks an innovative and analytical person to fill the position of Digital Accessibility and Licensing Analyst. The person in this position will be an integral part of the Electronic Resources Management team and will focus on supporting accessibility of Libraries’ purchased electronic resources.

Essential duties: The position will perform accessibility reviews of electronic resource platforms and communicate results to support the OSU Digital Accessibility Policy. Evaluations will determine if new and existing platforms (databases, e-journals, e-books) meet the university’s minimum digital accessibility standards, currently WCAG 2.0 AA. Following established accessibility workflows, this position coordinates the electronic resources acquisitions accessibility workflow, including: communicates results of evaluations and institutional expectations to vendors and documents outcomes. Collaborates with the eResources Licensing Coordinator to ensure license appropriately supports accessibility. Other support for licensing program includes: organize license-related documents and files, and entering key terms in the Sierra Electronic Resource Management (ERM) system. This position reports to the Contracts Analyst and works collaboratively with staff across OSUL departments, including IT and liaises with vendors and consortia partners. The position will be located at the Libraries Tech Center on west campus. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, disability studies, computer science, web development, or another related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience testing and troubleshooting or providing user support for software, web applications or library vendor products. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience managing multi-step processes and tracking results. Experience managing multiple deadlines and tracking progress. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with a variety of audiences (internal and external partners, vendors).

Desired qualifications: Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and website design concepts. Experience with website accessibility evaluation tools. Experience using assistive technologies, such as screen readers. Experience testing for and solving issues with web-based tools. Experience with higher education institutions, especially libraries.
