Happy Friday!

As several -- if not hundreds -- of libraries have probably already done, we are about to withdraw and discard the bound volumes that correspond to our JSTOR holdings.
The one thing I am concerned about is that we will need to generate a report this summer (maybe after my retirement date of June 30, but maybe not) that provides both the number of withdrawn volumes and the monetary value thereof.

I saw a posting in the Serialst archives from 2010, wherein someone (maybe Buddy Pennington) mentioned that his institution's Procurement Office assigned a value.  We may have no such luck here.

Has anyone out there assigned a monetary value to withdrawn bound journals or had access to the valuation assigned by Procurement or Property Management office?

I am not confident that we will find another office on campus to assign monetary value.  We may be able to find some pertinent figures to use in what used to be the Bowker Annual, but it's always better not to try to reinvent the proverbial wheel, unless it's quite necessary.

Thanks for your attention!
