Here at the University of Memphis, we had terrible problems with the pdf
file
printing setup. Did you try downloading and installing JPRINT?

We also have had trouble with JSTOR printing. Originally we were using
the
JPrint program. About a year ago, we began to have trouble with things
printing correctly from JPrint. We sought the advice of the JSTOR
people
who suggested that we try the Adobe Acrobat printing option. This
worked
fine on most of the PCs; however, it did not work well on Macs. The
main
computer we had dedicated to JSTOR was a Mac, so you can imagine that
this
was quite a problem for us. We tried every solution that we could come
up
with from both a hardware and software standpoint, including increasing
the
memory in the printer. Nothing seemed to work. We finally removed the
Mac
and replaced it with a PC. We are still not happy with the
inconsistency
of printing; however, we have found that the PDFs generally work better
for
us than JPrint. Many times staff persons have had to print the articles
off their computers for students.
