 Hello there

We are a small academic library with about 500 serials subscriptions. Our
major subject areas are:accounting, law, management, education,
environment, horticulture and psychology.About 35% of our subs are New
Zealand titles.

We are investigating serials TOCs services for our academic staff and
students. The service we are providing at the moment is for staff. It is
ad hoc and from a variety of sources: MCB (Emerald Library), EBSCO
Online and what was UnCover’s TOCs redistribution service. We also
provide photocopies of TOCS for staff who are off site only.We provide
links to TOCs in the catalogue via the 856 field and by adding a
separate copy set which has Internet as its collection id.We have a
serials subject list on the intranet which TOCs links are being added
to.

Ideally we’d like to use one supplier only but realise that this is
probably notpossible.

We’d like to hear from anyone who has answers or suggestions for the
following questions:

Has anyone found a supplier that provides TOCs + abstracts?

Do you know of any supplier allowing TOCs to be kept for longer than 3
months?

What do you do with the TOCs once they are delivered:

redistribute them?

add them to your catalogue – how? cut and paste?

add them to a list on an intranet?

add them to a separate database?

is anybody scanning TOCs successfully?

I will summarise any replies I getand post them on the list.

Many thanks in advance for any information you can give.
